MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds open the 2015 season by hosting the St. Louis Cardinals in a special Exhibition Game at AutoZone Park at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. Below are details on how fans can enjoy the prestigious event in downtown Memphis.

Game Schedule & Highlights

AutoZone Park Plaza opens at 8 a.m. Merchandise kiosk opens at 11 a.m. Memphis Redbirds and St. Louis Cardinals merchandise available for purchase Gates open at 3:30 p.m. St. Louis Cardinals Batting Practice begins at approximately 4:15 p.m. Pre-Game Ceremonies begin at approximately 5:40 p.m. Introduction of both teams to the lines Moment of Silence for Oscar Taveras and Rodny Jimenez National Anthem by Reagan Strange Ceremonial first pitches Umpire meeting First Pitch at 6:05 p.m.

Print-At-Home Tickets

- Long lines at Will Call are anticipated for Friday's game. Fans are strongly encouraged to print their purchased tickets from home for free.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Memphis Redbirds Matchup History

2015 marks the 18th season that Memphis has served as Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals The Redbirds have faced the Cardinals seven times at AutoZone Park since 2000 (2-4-1). The first game ever played at AutoZone Park was an exhibition contest between the Redbirds and Cardinals on April 1, 2000. Memphis won, 10-6, over St. Louis in front of a standing-room only crowd. Current Redbirds pitching coach Bryan Eversgerd was the winning pitcher for Memphis that afternoon. The Cardinals' most recent visit to AutoZone Park was last season in 2014, which was rained out. Twenty-four current members of St. Louis' 40-man roster have played for the Redbirds in their professional career. Current Cardinals First Base Coach Chris Maloney (2007-11), Bullpen Coach Blaise Ilsley (2008-12), and Assistant Athletic Trainer Chris Conroy (2005-11) have all previously served on the Redbirds coaching staff. Cardinals Special Assistant to Player Development Gaylen Pitts was the Redbirds manager from 1998-2002. Cardinals Hitting Coach John Mabry hit .338 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs in 39 games for Memphis before having his contract purchased in May 2004. Eversgerd pitched parts of two seasons for St. Louis in 1994 and '98.

AutoZone Park - Policy Reminders

Bluff Seating Areas

- Seating in the Bluff areas is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests holding tickets for the Bluffs are encouraged to arrive early for the best seating.

- Guests are permitted to bring towels and blankets for use in this area. Chairs of any kind are not permitted, including lawn chairs, beach style chairs, chaise lounges, and lounge style chairs.

Bag Inspections Policy

- Standard gameday bag inspection policies for AutoZone Park are in effect. Guests may bring in bags/backpacks that do not exceed 16" x 16" x 8". Bags will be inspected prior to entry.

- Please minimize items brought into the stadium to speed up the inspection process.

- Expect long lines upon entry and allow yourself plenty of time to go through the inspection process.

- In the interest of guest safety and enjoyment, AutoZone Park Management reserves the right to prevent certain items from being brought into AutoZone Park.

- Guests are NOT permitted to bring hard-sided or soft-sided ice chests or coolers into AutoZone Ballpark. An exception will be made on a case-by-case basis for a small, soft-sided cooler intended for baby or medical items, which are subject to search. Please see gate attendants for questions about these items or other special needs to be kept cool during the event. All prohibited items should be discarded or returned to one's vehicle. - Unopened, soft-sided containers of drinks such as small milk cartons, bottled water, juice boxes or pouches to be brought in only for special medical conditions are allowed.

- Fans are permitted to bring small personal cameras as long as they do not obstruct other guests' views and will be subject to inspection. No professional-sized photography equipment will be allowed except for members of the media with proper credentials.

- Small banners and signs are allowed. Banners may be displayed as long as they do not hinder or interfere with a ball in play or distract or interfere with the view of another guest. Banners may not be displayed in fair territory, be obscene or in poor taste, attract abuse or cause a disturbance among other guests. They should be baseball-oriented and not commercial in nature.
