TEAM NOTES
Tony Tchani's goal was his fifth all-time in MLS regular-season play and his first since June 30, 2012 against Real Salt Lake at MAPFRE Stadium ... Tchani played for the Red Bulls from 2010-2011 ... his first career goal came for New York on May 20, 2010 against Columbus.
Defender Chris Klute made his first start and appearance for the Black & Gold since being acquired from Colorado as part of the transaction executed during the First Round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft ... Klute notched two interceptions and two clearances in his Crew SC debut.
Defender Emanuel Pogatetz registered 15 clearances during the match ... that total stands as most by any Crew SC player in a match this season and the fourth-most by any MLS player in any one match.
Midfielder Mohammed Saeid led Crew SC in passing accuracy, at 90.24% (37/41) ... Saeid is now 92/100 in passing on the season (92%), a total that places him second in MLS in passing accuracy among all players with at least 50 passes attempted ... teammate Waylon Francis is the League leader in that category at 95.12% (78/82).
Crew SC's record against the Red Bulls in all-time MLS regular-season play now stands at 25-27-9 ... the Black & Gold are 15-12-4 versus New York at home.
Following a bye next weekend, Crew SC returns to the pitch on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET when the club takes on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place.
