State College Spikes News Release

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - State College Spikes fans have one more day to sign their extension deals through 2019, and since each fan is important and special to the Spikes, every fan that signs an extension will receive a food voucher good for any home game in the 2015 season.

Through the end of the day today, fans can sign an extension to lock in their long-term seat contracts for the next five seasons and enjoy the same great rate on Spikes season tickets.

In addition the Spikes were inspired to go the extra mile for fans much like former University of North Carolina head men's basketball coach Dean Smith, who bequeathed $200 to each of his former lettermen for a "dinner out" in his will.

"Dean Smith was a coach whose appreciation for his players knew no bounds, and in the same vein, this is just a small token of our appreciation for our fans," said Spikes General Manager Scott Walker. "Getting the opportunity to enjoy great ballpark fare on us is just another way to hopefully make more memories for our fans this season."

The first opportunity fans will have to use their meal voucher and the value of their own contract extension will be when the Spikes home schedule begins with Opening Night on Friday, June 19 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The home slate includes 38 nights of fun, affordable family entertainment and future Major League Baseball stars that lasts through September 6.

In addition to season tickets, McDonald's Flex Books and an array of group and hospitality options for the 2015 season are currently on sale by calling the Spikes at (814) 272-1711. Additional information on all club ticketing options, as well as team news and schedule info, can be viewed at www.StateCollegeSpikes.com .
