YOUNGSTOWN, OH- The Youngstown Phantoms will be well represented in the upcoming NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, as 11 former Phantoms spread out across six teams will hit the ice competing for this year's National Championship.
The championship format features four predetermined regional sites- Fargo, ND, Providence, RI, Manchester, NH, and South Bend, IN, with the winners of those regions meeting in the Frozen Four in Boston, MA. The entire tournament uses a single-elimination format.
Teams with Phantom alums on their rosters include Miami (OH) University (3), Boston College (2), Boston University (2), Quinnipiac University (2), University of Denver (1), and Minnesota State University, Mankato (1).
