Road Trip Kicks off in Green Bay

Bloomington, IL - The start of six road games begins in Green Bay as the Bloomington Thunder play the Gamblers for the fourth time this season. Game time is 7:05 pm CST from the Resch Center and will be the first of three meetings between the teams in the final seven games. Bloomington is 24-22-7 and tied for fifth place in the United States Hockey League's Eastern Conference with the Chicago Steel.

The Thunder enter the road trip on a two game win streak at home. Their last win, 2-1 over the United States National Team Development Program Under-17 team gave Logan Halladay (University of Minnesota) his second straight win and his tenth of the season. Rookie Forward Mitchell Mattson (University of North Dakota) also scored his first career USHL goal, which turned out to be the eventual game-winning goal. Assistant Captain Matt Mendelson (Penn State University) leads the team through his second full USHL season with 36 points (13g, 23a).

Green Bay has fallen to the bottom spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 16-30-7. After some changeover in their roster, Ryan Tait (Providence College) leads the Gamblers with 28 points (13g, 13a). 11 different players have left the Gamblers active roster including four of the team's top eight scorers. Former Clark Cup MVP Jason Pawloski (Minnesota State University - Mankato) has manned the pipes for the majority of the season going 8-19-5, with a 3.20 GAA and a .906 SVPT. In their last 25 games, the Gamblers have taken a slide at 3-17-5, but are 1-2-1 in the last four.
