Knighthawk Joe Walters Teaching Kids About Healthy Living

Rochester Knighthawks forward Joe Walters will bring the team's "Healthy Hawks" program to Helendale Road Primary School on Thursday, March 26th. The presentation, which is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m., will take place at the school located at 220 Helendale Rd.
Healthy Hawks, which is sponsored by UR Medicine and Power Train Sports Institute, is designed to educate students on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. On Thursday, Walters will convey the program's message to 350 students in grades K through 6.
The event will conclude with a question and answer session with the three-time NLL champion. Students will also receive booklets containing health facts, ways to stay active, recipes, and a poster of Walters.
The Helendale Road Primary school chorus will show their support for the Knighthawks on Saturday, April 25th by singing the national anthem prior to the game against the New England Black Wolves.
