Platzer Named Player of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack has named forward Kyle Platzer the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 22nd.
The Waterloo native tallied two short-handed goals and added an assist in a 7-3 win over the Whalers last Wednesday night. On Friday night against the Guelph Storm, Platzer once again stepped up, notching a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Guelph Storm. The Edmonton Oilers prospect continued to pad his points total on Saturday night when he scored his 4th goal in three games in a 4-3 win over the Sarnia Sting.
Platzer put together his best offensive season, putting together a career year. The nineteen year old tallied 34 goals and 47 assists for 81 points while suiting up in all 68 games.
The Attack will open their Western Conference Quarter Final Series against the Guelph Storm on Friday and Sunday in Guelph before returning home to the Bayshore on Tuesday and Wednesday for Games three and four.
