Toledo, OH - A three win week featuring a 21 save shutout has netted goaltender Jeff Lerg the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 16-22.

Lerg started the week by shutting down the Elmira Jackals 3-0 on March 16 for his fourth shutout of the season, a new Walleye single season record. He posted 34 saves in a 3-1 win over Missouri on Friday night before another 22 saves in a 2-1 shootout win over Florida on Sunday. Lerg finished the week with a miniscule 0.65 goals against average and an outstanding .975 save percentage.

"Jeff had a great week and was key to our success, just as he has been all year," said Head Coach Derek Lalonde.

Lerg is currently tied for second among all ECHL goaltenders in wins with 27 and shutouts with four. The 27 wins is also a Walleye single season record. His 2.29 goals against average ranks fourth in the league. The native of Livonia, Michigan has not lost back to back games all season long. Lerg was named ECHL Goaltender of the Month in November for going 7-0-1 with a 2.65 goals against average and .922 save percentage.
