Delgado Called into United States U20 National Team

Toronto FC midfielder Marco Delgado was named to United States U20 Head Coach Tab Ramos' 20-man roster for the first foreign training camp of the year in England. The camp will run from March 23-30 and will include a matchup against Tottenham Hotspur U21 side on Friday, March 27 in London, followed by a matchup against England's Under-21 Men's national team on Sunday, March 29 at Home Park in Plymouth.
Delgado, 19, is currently in his first season with Toronto FC, after spending the last three seasons With Chivas USA. He was acquired by Toronto FC in the Chivas USA Dispersal Draft on November 19, 2014. He was named to Toronto FC's 18-man squad once this season. Delgado has earned two caps for the United States U20 national team. He represented the U.S. as a member of several youth national teams. In 2013, he saw action with the U.S. U17 national team before being promoted to the U20 squad in late 2013. As a member of the U20's, Delgado served as team captain in two international friendlies held in Verona, Italy. At the age of 13, as a member of the U.S. U15 Boys national team, Delgado participated in a tournament in Argentina. He also competed with the U17's in Mondial Minimes, an international tournament in France, where Delgado started and played in every minute of all four games against France, Japan, Portugal and Uruguay. Delgado was also a member of the U17 Residency Program during fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters.
