Condors Sign Two Goaltenders: Lazaruk and Cahill

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that the team has signed G Kris Lazaruk and G Sean Cahill. Both will join the team for tonight's game in Stockton as G Frans Tuohimaa and G Maxime Lagace have both suffered injuries in the past week that will keep them out of the lineup.
LAZARUK "LAHZ-urr-uck" - 6'1", 176 lbs.; Edmonton, Alberta Played four seasons for the University of Calgary Dinos with a 23-12-1 record, a 2.26 goals- against average (GAA), and a .915 save percentage Led all of Canadian Intrauniversity Sport (CIS) in GAA with a 1.67 this season and was second in save percentage with a .938 as he helped the Dinos to the final eight Named the Canada West Goaltender of the Year and finished runner-up for CIS Goaltender of the Year in 2014-15 Set a new Canada West regular season shutout record with a streak of 275:03 from Oct. 10 - Nov. 14, 2014 Played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for Kootenay and Kelowna and was a member of Canada's U-18 National team in 2006
CAHILL - 5'11, 175 lbs.; Calgary, Alberta Played four seasons at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a 21-14-2 record, a 2.21 GAA, and a .906 save percentageTied for 11th nationally in 2014-15 with a 1.98 GAA including two shutouts Helped backstop the Nanooks to a Governor's Cup victory on March 7. 2015 against the University of Alaska-AnchorageEarned a WCHA All-Academic Award in 2014-15
