The Owen Sound Attack will kick off the last week of the regular season when they host the Plymouth Whalers on Wednesday, Mar. 18 at 7:00 pm.

Wednesday's game will mark the final contest between the Whalers and Attack, as Plymouth is set to move to Flint and play under the moniker of the Flint Firebirds beginning in 2015/2016.

The Attack and Whalers have met three times already this season with Owen Sound having grabbed five of a possible six points in the previous contests, including a 4-2 Attack victory in the last meeting. While Plymouth is already eliminated from playoff contention, the Attack are embroiled in a fight for positioning with the Kitchener Rangers and the Guelph Storm.

As of Tuesday morning, Owen Sound sat in 5th place in the Western Conference with 73 points in 65 games. The Rangers, who take on the Guelph on Tuesday night, are one point back of the Attack with a game in hand while the Storm sit at 76 points in 65 games.

The Attack are entering the game fresh off of a massive 2-1 overtime victory over the London Knights on Saturday, Mar. 14. S aturday's game saw a pair of Attack players hit milestones, as Kyle Platzer recorded his 30th goal of the season while captain Zach Nastasiuk's goal an assist brought him to 75 points on the season.

Attack defenceman Chris Bigras, who suffered an injury against the London Knights on Friday, Mar. 13, will be a game day decision for Wednesday night.

The Whalers will be led into the game by leading scorer Sonny Milano, who has 67 points on the year, including six points in Plymouth's last three outings.

For the Attack, Wednesday will be game one of a three game march to the playoffs that will also see Owen Sound play Guelph on Friday before hosting Sarnia on Saturday in what will be Owen Sound's final game of the regular season.

Tickets for both of the Attack's remaining home games can be purchased at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.

This season of Attack Hockey is brought to you by Caframo.

KEYS TO VICTORY

The Owen Sound Attack kicked a three game losing skid with one of their tightest games of the year defensively. Despite not having stalwart Chris Bigras on the back end, the Attack were able to use a complete team effort to beat London in their last game out, and a similar type of game will be needed to take on the Plymouth Whalers. With the playoffs just around the corner, Owen Sound will be tasked with playing as if they are matching up a first round opponent with attention paid to discipline, a strong forecheck, and high quality shots on net.
