WEEK IN REVIEW

The Oilers claimed three wins in three days on home and earned six valuable points to move into sole possession of fourth place in the Central Division. Friday, the Oilers returned to the BOK Center for the first time in 27 days and posted a 4-1 win over Wichita. Adam Pleskach led the Tulsa offense with two goals and Kevin Carr made 35 saves to lift the Oilers to their first home win since January 30.

Saturday, the Oilers wore special patriotic jerseys for Budweiser Military Night presented by the Oklahoma National Guard and held off the Brampton Beast for a 3-1 triumph. After surrendering the first goal of the game, the Oilers got quick strikes from T.J. Caig and Kyle Bochek early in the second period to take control of the contest. Kevin Carr earned his third straight win with a 31-save performance.

The Oilers finished their weekend sweep on Sunday with the most lopsided victory of the season, an 8-1 drubbing of the Beast. Jeff Jubinville notched his second career hat-trick and finished the night with four goals and a +3 rating. Seven Oilers recorded multiple points as Tulsa concluded the season series against Brampton with a flawless 8-0-0 record.

PLAYOFF PRESSURE RISING

With 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Oilers are holding down the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division. The second through fifth place teams - Quad City, Rapid City, Tulsa, and Wichita - are separated by just five points. The Oilers have two games in hand on Quad City and Rapid City and will face off against Wichita four times over the next four weeks. Tulsa is 8-2-0 in its last 10 games, the best record of any team in the division.

DEFENDING THEIR ICE

The Oilers have won three in a row on home ice for the first time all season and are on their first three-game home win streak since early December of 2013. Tulsa has four home games remaining and needs just one more win at the BOK Center to surpass its home win total from last season.

IN CARR THEY TRUST

Kevin Carr is riding a four-game win streak and has only allowed a total of three goals in those four contests. In three games over the weekend, the rookie net-minder stopped 97 of 100 shots and posted a 1.00 goals against average. Carr, 24, is 8-2-0 in his last 10 starts and ranks second in the ECHL in wins (25), saves (1,184), and minutes (2,512).

JUBY QUIETS THE BEAST

Rookie center Jeff Jubinville enjoyed a career night on Sunday with four goals in the Oilers' 8-1 rout of the Brampton Beast. Jubinville became the first Oiler this season to record four goals in a single game and jumped to second place in the ECHL rookie scoring race. The 24-year old completed his hat-trick at the 14:50 mark of the opening frame before lighting the lamp again in the closing seconds of the second period. Both of Jubinville's hat-tricks this season occurred against Brampton and in eight games versus the Beast, the Edmonton, Alberta native put up 10 goals and a +11 rating. Jubinville has 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists) in his last 10 games and is tied for the team lead at +23 for the season.

DOMINANT DISMANTLING

In eight games against Brampton this season, the Oilers recorded eight wins and outscored the Beast 39-13. Tulsa put up four goals or more in seven of the eight meetings and held Brampton to two goals or fewer in seven of the eight contests. The Oilers' average margin of victory over the Beast was more than three goals and only one game in the series was decided by a single goal. Kevin Carr was in net for five of Tulsa's eight wins and ended the series against the Beast with a 1.60 goals against average and a .946 save percentage.

LITTERING THE STAT SHEET

Sunday, the Oilers exploded for eight goals, their second-highest offensive output of the season (9 goals at Allen on October 24). The Oilers combined for a total of 21 points and a team rating of +30, the best cumulative plus-minus of the season. Eleven of the 16 players on the Tulsa bench earned at least a single point and defenseman Scott Macaulay led all Oilers at +4 for the contest.

EXERCISING RESTRAINT

The Oilers are averaging 19.5 penalty minutes per game but have been below that season average in eight of their last 10 games. On the current four-game win streak, Tulsa is being penalized at a clip of just 10.5 minutes per game. The Oilers are back above an 80-percent success rate on the penalty kill and have wiped away 15 of the last 16 opposition power plays.

DON'T BLINK

The Oilers displayed quick strike capability this weekend in wins over Wichita and Brampton. On Friday against the Thunder, Adam Pleskach and Brady Ramsay scored 12 seconds apart for the second-fastest time between goals this season. In the first period on Sunday, Jeff Jubinville re-directed a pass from Drew Fisher for his first goal of the evening and finished off another feed from Fisher just 21 seconds later.

EXTRA DROPS

T.J. Caig is on a five-game point streak (4 goals, 3 assists)... Tommy Mele is the first Oilers' player since Thomas Harrison in 2009-10 to record 200 penalty minutes in a season...Kyle O'Kane returned to the lineup on Sunday after missing the previous two games due to illness...Eric Tallent suffered an upper body injury against Wichita on Friday and was sidelined for the final two games of the weekend...The Oilers visit Quad City on Wednesday where they have earned points in each of their previous three trips (2-0-1).
