Deal with Ontario Restructured

March 16, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that they have restructured an earlier deal with the Ontario Reign regarding forward Robert Czarnik (pronounced ZAR-nick) on Monday.

The Gladiators had originally acquired Czarnik from the Reign along with a future consideration in exchange for forward Garry Nunn on March 10th. Czarnik did not pass his physical due to undisclosed medical issues, so the Gladiators will return Czarnik to Ontario and receive another future consideration instead.

Czarnik, 25, began the 2014-15 season with the Indy Fuel, scoring 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) in 31 games for the expansion franchise. He was traded to the Reign on January 13th, and has since scored six goals and four assists since then.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league, and are affiliated with the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth - where parking is always free.
