Following his release from the team, he would spend time with the af2's Arkansas Twisters in 2009 before signing a with the NFL's New Orleans Saints. He would not be active for any regular season games and a foot injury would land him on the injured reserve list, effectively ending his season. After his release from the Saints, Harper would go on to spend time with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, the Shock in 2012 and the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2013.

"Rod is a proven receiver in this league based off his production for the Shock in 2012 and his performance last season with San Jose," said Shock head coach Andy Olson. "His leadership and athletic abilities will be a strong addition to our roster and we're looking forward to having him back in Spokane."

Lewis (6-3, 260, Oklahoma) has been traded to the Los Angeles Kiss. He was assigned to the Shock's pre-season roster on December 9, 2014 and will be entering his rookie AFL season in 2015. He was drafted by the NFL's Detroit Lions in 2012 where he saw action in eight games and recorded a pair of tackles.
