Harrisburg, PA- Harrisburg City Islanders have transferred forward Morgan Langley to St. Patrick's Athletic FC, the club announced today.

St. Patrick's is an Irish football club, based in Inchicore, Dublin that plays in the Irish Premier Division. Founded in May 1929, they have won many trophies in Irish Club Football, including nine League Titles, the fifth most in Irish Football, as well as three FAI Cups and two League Cups. The 25-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii native and former Swarthmore College standout began his professional career with the Harrisburg City Islanders in 2010.

"As much as we hate to see Morgan go, we know this is a great opportunity for him. Morgan spent four seasons with us and was our leading scorer this past year. We wish him all the best in Ireland." said Head Coach, Bill Becher.

Langley leaves the Harrisburg City Islanders following four successful seasons with the club. Marked by his final season, in which he lead the number 8 seeded team past number 1 seed Orlando FC to the 2014 USL Championship match against number 2 seed Sacramento. During the 2014 USL season Langley appeared in 25 matches, tallying 1945 minutes on the pitch. He also lead the team recording 18 points off of 6 goals and 6 assists during the 2014 season. The versatile forward has recorded 15 goals and 12 assists during his four years with the Islanders.

"My four years with the Islanders has been an incredible experience and I am humbled to have been a part of such a great organization and have the support of such amazing fans. I want to thank the ownership for the opportunity they have given me. I also want to thank Bill Becher for believing in me as a player and a person. Finally, I would not have such an incredible life opportunity without the support and trust of Tiago Lopes. I will miss game days on the Island but will always be an Islanders fan!" said Langley.

Prior to his time in Harrisburg, Langley had a standout collegiate career at Swarthmore College. During his senior season at Swarthmore, Langley produced one of the best offensive seasons in school-history, registering 42 points off of 14 goals and 14 assists. During the same season, Langley was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and was voted First Team All-American by D3soccer.com.

The terms of the deal with St. Patrick's Athletic FC were not disclosed.

The coaches, team, and front office wish Morgan the best with St. Patrick's and thank him for all of his contributions with the Islanders during the last four seasons.
