(Central Islip, N.Y., March 9, 2015) - The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks today announced that individual tickets for all 2015 Long Island Ducks games will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21. Fans can purchase Ducks single game tickets at the Bethpage Ballpark box office only at that time. Those wishing to ensure the best availability for all of this year's promotional dates are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early.
"Don't let the weather fool you, Ducks fans; Baseball season is right around the corner," says Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. "This year will be chock full of exciting promotions, thrilling matchups and most of all, affordable fun for all ages."
Bethpage Ballpark will be the place to be on March 21. The Wiseman of B-103 will emcee the festivities and build up excitement throughout the morning, as the Ducks usher in their 16th season of baseball on Long Island. He will be joined by Ducks players and coaches along with Long Island's Best Mascot, QuackerJack, who will be signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.
All children in attendance on March 21 will have the opportunity to enjoy the always popular Ducks inflatables. Those looking for more fun at the Duck Pond can also stop by the Wax Creations table and get their very own wax hand replicas. The Waddle In Shop will open up at 9:00 a.m., and fans will be able to browse and purchase a wide selection of brand new Ducks apparel.
While waiting in line for tickets, fans will be treated to a variety of complimentary snacks and beverages, courtesy of Centerplate, the official concessions provider of the Ducks. Snacks will include bagels, Hebrew National hot dogs, North Fork Chips samples and Kona Ice frozen ice treats. Warm beverages such as Hampton Coffee Company coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available along with water, Pepsi soft drinks and Tropical Smoothie Café samples.
At 10:00 a.m., the box office will open for those waiting in line to purchase their individual game tickets. Bethpage Federal Credit Union will be giving away a $500 gift card for the first fan in line for tickets, and the Ducks will also be including prizes for the lucky first fan.
Following the opening of the ticket windows, Long Island-based rock and roll band Tony K. & Boardwalk will be performing live on the plaza. The four-man crew will play several classic fan favorites, spanning the decades, throughout the rest of the morning.
