Binghamton Senators News Release

Norfolk, VA - The Binghamton Senators swept the Norfolk Admirals in the last road trip to Virginia with a 3-2 overtime victory. Carter Camper notched his second goal of the night with exactly two minutes remaining in the overtime period while Scott Greenham stopped 49 of 51 shots faced.

Camper opened up the scoring just 3:37 into the first period after putting home a shot from the right faceoff circle during an even-strength rush off a great feed from Shane Prince. Chris Wideman doubled the lead a little over 10 minutes later with his 14th goal of the year. While the B-Sens were waiting on a delayed Admirals penalty call, Wideman took a hard shot from the top right that passed through several skaters and the Admirals' goaltender Jason LaBarbera. Binghamton took a 2-0 lead to the first intermission while also leading Norfolk in shots 16-9.

The B-Sens lead was cut in half following a power-play goal from the Admirals. Kevin Gagne notched his first goal of the season with 10 seconds remaining on Troy Rutkowski's hooking penalty making it 2-1 heading into the final intermission.

Mike Sgarbossa tied the game up a little over halfway in the third period after a redirect in front of Greenham to make it 2-2. Despite multiple chances for each team to break the tie, overtime was needed to determine the winner.

Following three minutes of scoreless hockey in the sudden-death period, Camper buried his second of the night off another assist from Prince to give the B-Sens the overtime win.

Greenham topped his previous career-high from Wednesday's win with a 49-save performance to earn his 12th victory of the year. LaBarbera allowed three goals on 39 shots faced to fall to 7-12-4 on the year.
