Florida Panthers Reassign D Shane O'Brien to San Antonio

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has reassigned D Shane O'Brien to San Antonio (AHL).

O'Brien, 31, has played in nine games with Florida this season, recording one assist. For his career in the National Hockey League, he appeared in 537 games for Florida (2014-15), Calgary (2013-2014), Colorado (2011-2013), Nashville (2010-11), Vancouver (2008-2010), Tampa Bay (2007-08) and Anaheim (2006-2007), scoring 13 goals with 79 assists and 916 penalty minutes.

The Port Hope, Ontario native appeared in 36 games with San Antonio this season, recording 10 goals with 12 assists (10-12- 22) and 113 PIM.
