Wolves Acquire Bell from Norfolk

The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday that they have acquired defenseman BRENDAN BELL from the Norfolk Admirals for future considerations.

BELL has compiled 23 points (G, 22A) and 20 penalty minutes in 47 games this season. Overall he has accumulated 252 points (54G, 198A) and 464 penalty minutes in 486 career AHL games with Norfolk (2014-15), Connecticut (2011-12), Syracuse (2009-10), Peoria (2009-10), Binghamton (2008-09), San Antonio (2007-08), Toronto (2005-06), and St. John's (2003-05). In 22 career Calder Cup Playoff matchups, he has recorded 13 points (2G, 11A) and 26 penalty minutes.

The 31-year-old has totaled 28 points (7G, 21A) and 51 penalty minutes in 102 career NHL games, suiting up for the New York Rangers (2011-12), Ottawa (2008-09), Arizona (2006-08), and Toronto (2005-07). The Ottawa, Ontario, native has spent three of the past four seasons overseas with Biel (NLA), Frölunda (SHL), and Avangard Omsk (KHL).

BELL was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with their third selection, 65th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wolves travel to Cleveland this week for a pair of tilts against the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday and Sunday.
