Canadiens Assign Michael Bournival to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Michael Bournival to the Bulldogs.
Bournival has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In 29 games with Montreal, he has recorded five points (three goals, two assists) and four penalty minutes. In seven games with Hamilton, he has recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) and four penalty minutes.
In 89 career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens, the 5-11, 196-pound forward has recorded 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) and 22 penalty minutes. In 79 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, the Shawinigan, Que. native has recorded 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) and 32 penalty minutes.
The 22-year-old originally was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (71st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Canadiens from the Avalanche in exchange for Ryan O'Byrne on Nov. 11, 2010.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Wednesday, March 4 when they'll host the Adirondack Flames at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
