Combs Scores First for Thunder But Team Falls
March 1, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release
West Valley City, UT - The Stockton Thunder made a late rush, scoring with just 16 seconds left in the game, but are unable to bury a third goal as they fall just short of a miraculous comeback and lose to the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 Saturday night at the Maverik Center. Jack Combs scored the late goal for the Thunder, his first in a Thunder sweater, while Tyler Shattock scored a goal and added an assist. Unfortunately, it was former Thunder player Ryan Hayes who scores the game-winner against his old team for the second-straight night. The Thunder will look to end their current six-game losing streak Monday as they faceoff with the Grizzlies for the final time.
