Knoxville, TN - (February 28, 2015) The Knoxville Ice Bears fell the Mississippi RiverKings 4-3 in front of a sold out "Force" hungry crowd of 5,143.

Mississippi RiverKings took a 1-0 advantage on a goal byDevin Manthaat 1:21 in the second period. Mississippi RiverKings went down 3-1 after Knoxville'sJosh Cousineauput the puck home shorthanded at 13:43 in the second period. After knotting things up at 3-3 on a goal byMatt Whiteheadat 12:34 in the third, Mississippi RiverKings got the game-winner fromLeo Thomasat 17:39 in the third period.

Whitehead and Thomas provided the spark for Mississippi RiverKings, combining for three goals and one assist. Whitehead grabbed two goals and one assist and Thomas also added one goal.

In addition, Mississippi RiverKings received assists fromAndrew Randazzo, who had two andLinden Bahm,Dmitri Peremikin, andSean Jones, who each chipped in one.

The Ice Bears' offense was clicking by firing 22 shots on goal during the game, better than the 18.4 shots per game they average.

Peter Di Salvorejected 19 shots on goal for Mississippi RiverKings. Mississippi RiverKings totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Bryan Hince made 21 saves for Knoxville on 25 shots. The Ice Bears totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play.

The Knoxville Ice Bears will return to action Friday, March 6th when they face-off against The Fayetteville FireAntz for Nascar Night/Classic Car Night.
