(London, ON - ) The Mississauga Power traveled to London tonight to take on the Lightning in the team's final regular season game. The Power were without Marcus Capers and Malcolm Grant who were both out with injuries. The shorthanded Power struggled on both ends of the floor, losing 126-91 in a one sided match-up. Tyrone Garland led all scorers with 31 points while adding 7 assists. Jabs Newby chipped in with 17 points.

Doug Thomas got off to a superb start for the Power, scoring the team's first nine points. Despite Thomas' efforts, the Lightning were able to hold off the rest of the Power from scoring, building up an 11 point lead halfway through the first. The Lightning started the 2nd quarter on a quick 16-3 run, extending the deficit to 20 points early into the quarter. The Lightning kept their foot on the gas pedal all the way to the end of the quarter, taking a substantial 62-41 lead into halftime.

The Power had trouble containing the Lightning, giving up ten quick points at the start of the 3rd quarter as the Lightning extended the lead to 29, forcing the Power to take a timeout. The Power continued to struggle to score on offense as the Lightning built a lead that was too substantial for the Power to overcome as the Lightning cruised to the 126-91 victory.
