Norfolk Admirals News Release

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has traded forward Dany Heatley and a 2015 third-round draft pick to the Florida Panthers for forward Tomas Fleischmann.

Heatley, 34, recorded two goals and seven points in 25 appearances for the Norfolk Admirals in 2014-15. After dealing with hamstring issues and going scoreless in just six games for Anaheim, the Ducks reassigned him to their AHL affiliate in Norfolk. Atlanta selected Heatley with the second overall pick in the 2000 NHL Draft, and the Freiburg, Germany native went on to skate in 869 total NHL games, scoring 50 goals in back-to-back seasons from 2005-2007. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound winger has 372 career goals and 791 career points in the NHL.

Norfolk finishes a two-game weekend set tonight versus the Providence Bruins starting at 7:15 p.m. Visit the Scope Box Office to purchase tickets.
