Reign Announce 7th Annual Fire on Ice
February 26, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Ontario Reign News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time ECHL Pacific Division Champions and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, present the Seventh Annual Fire on Ice hockey doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 21 to support the California Fire Foundation.
This year's Fire on Ice will feature members of the Ontario Fire Department and Ontario Police Department facing off against the Los Angeles County Fire Department in a 2 p.m. showdown before the Ontario Reign take on the Alaska Aces at 6 p.m.
Former Reign captain Jon Francisco will also return to the ice at Citizens Business Bank Arena, lacing up as a member of the Ontario Fire team. Francisco spent three seasons with the Reign before retiring from hockey. He recorded 112 points (42g-70a) in that span and served as the Reign's captain during first two seasons with the club before hanging up his skates in 2010-11.
Between the two hockey games be sure to head outside the arena for the firefighters' chili cook-off. Ingredients for the chili cook-off will be provided by Sprouts Farmers Market. Enjoy some of your favorite games in the Stonez Rolling Video Games truck that will be a part of this event.
Tickets start at just $13 - which includes admission to both hockey games and the chili cook-off - with proceeds from each ticket going directly to the California Fire Foundation.
To reserve your seats for both games, contact Steven Minucci at 909-204-5506 or sminucci@ontarioreign.com. Tickets can be purchased online using the code: FIREHOCKEY.
