Florida State Softball Superstar Courtney Senas Joins the Rebellion

Washington, PA-February 26, 2015-The Pennsylvania Rebellion announced today the signing of former Florida State University (FSU) outfielder Courtney Senas. Senas will join former FSU teammate Briana Hamilton on the Rebellion's 2015 roster.

The Wahiawa, Hawaii native completed an outstanding four-year career at Florida State, as one of the program's best players finishing second all-time with 36 home runs, third with 158 RBI, fifth in runs scored (180), seventh in walks (98), seventh in doubles (37), eighth in stolen bases (69) and an impressive .547 slugging percentage. Senas's career numbers at FSU include a lifetime .314 batting average, 46 career home runs, 158 RBI, 37 doubles and 13 triples.

As a senior in 2014, Senas was awarded the team's Gold Glove honor. She played and started in all 64 games. During the regular season, she batted .338 with 12 doubles, four triples, 15 home runs, 57 RBI and scored 65 runs. In postseason play at the NCAA Super-Regional, she delivered one of the most memorable home runs in school history, a two-run walk-off blast advancing FSU to their first Women's College World Series appearance since 2004.

Her 2014 campaign earned her a second place spot in FSU's single-season homerun and RBI list, along with third place finishes in slugging percentage (.667) and runs (65). Senas was also named to the 2014 National Fastpitch Coaches Assocation (NFCA) 2014 All-Region First Team, 2014 All-ACC First Team and the 2014 ACC All-Tournament Team.
