Royals Upended by Rockets

Kelowna, BC- The Victoria Royals fell 4-2 to the Kelowna Rockets as the home side scored four unanswered goals on Wednesday night.

The Royals and Rockets entered the third period deadlocked at 2-2 before Kelowna's Leon Draisaitl and Tyson Baillie each tallied a marker. Victoria's goals were scored by Austin Carroll and Greg Chase in the opening stanza and the Rockets' other makers were notched in the second by Madison Bowey and Chance Braid.

Victoria netminder Justin Paulic stopped 25 out of 29 shots directed at him. Kelowna goaltender Michael Herringer turned away 25 of 27 shots.

The Royals went 0/70.0% on the man advantage, while the Rockets went 1/333.3%.

Victoria will now head to Kamloops to face-off against the Blazers on Friday with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The Royals return home on Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd to host the Seattle Thunderbirds for the first time this season in a two-game set. Puck drop for both contests is slated for 7:05 p.m.
