Three Return to Skeeters 2015 Roster

SUGAR LAND, TX - The Sugar Land Skeeters announced today that the club has added three players to its 2015 roster and welcome back C/1B Travis Scott, along with left-handed pitchers Daniel Meadows and Cory VanAllen to Constellation Field.

Scott, 29, returns to the Skeeters for a third-straight season. Last year, Scott was one of Sugar Land's most versatile players spending time as catcher, at first base and as a designated hitter. After being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2005, Scott spent four seasons (2006-2010) in their system making a California League All-Star Game appearance in 2009 with the High Desert Mavericks. Scott owns a career .259 average with 84 home runs and 431 RBI over nine seasons in professional baseball.

Meadows, 27, made 21 appearances for the Skeeters last season with a 3.77 ERA and 47 strikeouts. Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008, Meadows ascended through their minor league system, spending time with the Brevard County Manatees (2010, 2013), Nashville Sounds (2011, 2012), Huntsville Stars (2011, 2012, 2013). In 2011, with AA Huntsville, the southpaw picked up six wins and had an ERA of 1.51 in 21 appearances. A Texas native, Meadows graduated locally from Cinco Ranch High School.

VanAllen, 30, a Clements High School graduate, posted a 2-0 record with 44 appearances and a 2.11 ERA for Sugar Land last year. Prior to joining the Skeeters, the lefty was drafted out of Baylor University in 2006 and spent eight seasons in the Washington Nationals organization and collecting 23 wins and an ERA of just over four.
