Kelly Cup to Appear During "True Blue Weekend"

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, are excited to announce the prestigious Kelly Cup championship trophy will make an appearance at the Road Warriors' game on Saturday, March 7th as part of "True Blue Weekend."
In addition, Patrick J. Kelly, a founding father of the ECHL and its first commissioner, will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures throughout the contest on the Bon Secours Wellness Arena concourse.
The Kelly Cup has been awarded to the ECHL's playoff champion for each of the past 17 years and has become one of the most prominent trophies in minor league sports. It was named in Patrick Kelly's honor in 1997, one year before he was inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame. The trophy was previously known as the Riley Cup, named after former American Hockey League President Jack Riley from 1988-1996.
"True Blue Weekend" will also include a variety of other big-time promotions. It all kicks off on Friday, March 6th against Florida when first 1,000 fans in attendance receive a special edition Road Warriors' True Blue T-shirt presented by FOX Carolina and Whistle 100. In addition, the popular Warrior Fun Pack is available for Friday's game and includes (4) red-level tickets, (4) hot dogs, (4) bags of chips, (4) small fountain drinks and (2) Warriors' drawstring bags for just $60! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
Aside from the appearances by Patrick Kelly and the Kelly Cup on March 7th, the evening will also feature a Warriors' hat giveaway! The first 1,000 fans through the doors on "True Blue Saturday" will receive a blue Warriors' mesh hat courtesy of FOX Carolina and WESC 92.5. Doors again open at 6:00 p.m. and the puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
"True Blue Weekend" wraps up on Sunday, March 8th when the South Carolina Stingrays visit Greenville for a 3:05 p.m. puck drop. The Warrior Fun Pack will also be available for this matinee game and fans can take part in the final post-game skate with the team this season!
