LAST GAME: The Tigers made the day trip to Calgary to finish off the season series against the Hitmen. Calgary was looking to tie up the series at 3's after the Tigers had taken the first 3 of 4 meetings. It was another defensive battle between the two with a solid effort by the Tabbies on this night. Nick Schneider got the start for the Tigers while Brendan Burke made his second consecutive start for Calgary. Scoring did not happen until the second period when the Hitmen got on the board first, netting goals from Connor Rankin and Radel Fazleev. The Tigers would answer on the power play before the buzzer sounded; Steven Owre buried his 15th of the season putting the Tigers down only 2-1 after 40 minutes. The third period had a rough start for Medicine Hat as Calgary would score 23 seconds into the period giving Calgary the lead, a lead that they would not give up, winning the game 4-1.

TOUGH SLEDDING: The Medicine Hat Tigers current slide hasn't been felt by Tigers fans since the 2012-13 season when the Tigers lost 8 straight games mid-season and 9 of 11 games overall. Tigers fans have seen small slides of 4 games or less over the past few seasons but know that the Tigers best games come during the playoffs where they have made the big dance in 13 straight seasons, heading to the Eastern Conference Finals last season against Edmonton.
