Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-2 Saturday night behind a four-goal third period performance at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Royals' forward Logan Fisher would tally four assists to mark a new career high for the 19-year-old centre. Victoria's Brandon Magee and Jack Walker notched goals 1:25 apart in the final frame to break the 1-1 deadlock. Taylor Crunk scored a pair of goals and Travis Brown (empty net) potted the other marker for Victoria. Kelowna's goal scorers were Dillon Dube and Leon Draisaitl.

Justin Paulic got the nod in net for the Royals and turned aside 31 of 33 shots he faced for the win. Kelowna countered with netminder Michael Herringer who stopped 34 of 38 shots.

Victoria went 0/30.0% on the powerplay and Kelowna went 1/333.3%

The Royals will now head to Kelowna to meet the Rockets for a third consecutive contest on Wednesday, February 25th. Victoria will then head to Kamloops to face-off against the Blazers on Friday, February 27th.

Victoria returns home on Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd to welcome the Seattle Thunderbirds for the first time this season in a two-game set. Puck drop for both contests is slated for 7:05pm.
