It was the 5th straight sellout for the Lancers this season and 7th overall on the year.

Omaha was first to get on the board and it didn't take long. Nick Rivera took a pass in the neutral zone from Brian Williams and moved into the offensive zone with defenders to beat. It was Spinner's first of the night assisted by Shane Gersich and Matt Joyaux.

Just 18 seconds into the second period the Lancers went ahead 3-0 as Anthony Angello beat Woll for his 14th of the year and forced a goaltending change for the U17's as Joseph Woll was replaced momentarily by Jake Oettinger. Angello's goal had helpers from Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson and Jake Henderson.

Steven Spinner struck again at 3:52 of the middle frame for increase the lead. Matt Joyaux took the puck from the left wing circle and sent it across the ice to an awaiting Shane Gersich who let a one-timer fly from the bottom of the right wing circle. The original shot was stopped by a sprawling Oettinger but the rebound was hammered in by Spinner for his second goal of the game and 12th of the year to give Omaha a 4-0 lead.

After a scrum involving Nash Worden and Max Jones, Team USA changed goalies again, removing Oettinger after giving up a goal and putting Joseph Woll back into the game.
