Whitecaps FC 2015 Single Match Tickets on Sale Friday

VANCOUVER, BC - With just 17 days until Vancouver Whitecaps FC kick off their fifth season in Major League Soccer, the club announced today that single match tickets for all 2015 MLS regular season home matches and Amway Canadian Championship games will go on sale this Friday, February 20, at 10 a.m. PT. Season Ticket Members and club partners will have exclusive access to a pre-sale window on Thursday, February 19.

Single match tickets will be available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centres, online at ticketmaster.ca/whitecaps, or Charge-by-Phone at 1.855.6.GO-CAPS (1.855.646.2277). Tickets start as low as $25 plus applicable service charges and fees.

"Last year, the club made a number of positive steps forward both on and off the pitch and everyone is excited about the start of our fifth season in MLS," said Bob Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC president. "Every year our supporters come out in numbers and help make BC Place the best sporting atmosphere in Vancouver. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again, as well as welcoming new fans."

The 'Caps highly anticipated season in MLS is set to begin on Saturday, March 7, at BC Place as Vancouver take on Canadian arch-rivals Toronto FC at 3 p.m. PT. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to ensure they don't miss out on the action.

Additional matches to mark on the calendar include visits from defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy on April 4, reigning MLS Supporters Shield winners Seattle Sounders FC on May 16 and September 19, Cascadia rivals Portland Timbers lone visit on March 28, and welcoming expansion side New York City FC on September 26. Whitecaps FC will conclude their regular season at home against Houston Dynamo on Sunday, October 25. Fans are able to guaranteed their seats for the biggest matches of the year by purchasing Season Tickets, Half Season Tickets, 5-Pack, or with a group of 10 or more.

Last season, Whitecaps FC finished with a record 12W-8L-14D, earning 50 points and setting a club MLS record, while securing a playoff berth for a second time in four seasons. This year, a record 22 players are returning including captain Pedro Morales, who was named MLS Newcomer of the Year and had a team-high 10 goals and 12 assists, and goalkeeper David Ousted, who led the league with 13 shutouts.

New Whitecaps FC players to watch out for in 2015 include striker Octavio Rivero and centre backs Pa-Modou Kah and Diego RodrÃ-guez.
