Joey Holka Called up to ECHL-Greenville

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings forward Joey Holka has been loaned to the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL, the team announced today. Holka becomes the fifth RiverKings player to make the jump to the ECHL this season, joining Matt Harrington, Dan Delisle, Dylan Quaile and Bryon Paulazzo.

Holka, 24, joined the RiverKings January 23 and in seven games has produced eight points (3g, 5a). He had points in five of his seven games with Mississippi, including a four-game scoring streak (2g, 5a) Jan. 24-31. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound winger scored his first professional goal Jan. 27 against the Columbus Cottonmouths. The Phoenix, Arizona native was a plus-6 rating with the RiverKings. Holka started his professional career by playing three games with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies in January. Before this season, he had a three-year college career at St. Cloud State, where he was a member of their "Frozen Four" team in 2012-13.

The RiverKings are back home Tuesday, Feb. 24 against the Pensacola Ice Flyers for Miracle on Ice Night. Fans wearing red, white and blue to the game will get $2 off walkup ticket prices at the Box Office. There is also a blue-level and red-level ticket special through Feb. 20.
