BaronsFest Postponed Due to Inclement Weather
February 17, 2015 - Southern League (SL1)
Birmingham Barons News Release
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Due to the threat of inclement weather, BaronsFest - originally scheduled for Saturday, February 21 - has been postponed until Saturday, March 14.
Along with the chance of snow, rain and frigid temperatures for the Birmingham area going into the weekend, impending weather threatens to greatly impact Saturday's activities both on and off the field if Baronsfest proceeded as planned.
"We have been monitoring the weather forecast closely and we feel it is better to postpone the event at this time," Barons General Manager Jonathan Nelson said. "We hope March 14 will be a better date for BaronsFest, allowing fans to comfortably enjoy a day out at Regions Field."
Further details of the rescheduled BaronsFest will be released closer to date.
Birmingham opens the 2015 season Thursday, April 9 as Regions Field hosts the Mobile BayBears at 7:05 p.m. For tickets and more information, please call (205) 988-3200 or visit us at www.barons.com, www.facebook.com/birminghambarons or on Twitter: @bhambarons.
