LAST WEEK'S GAMES -

Friday, February 13th

Missouri at Wichita, 5-4 W

- The Thunder jumped out to a 4-1 first-period lead thanks to goals from Jared Walker, RG Flath, and Justin Bernhardt (2). Kenton Miller recorded the game-winner in the second and held off the Mavericks to secure two points in front of 10,490 fans. Bernhardt finished with three points (2g, 1a).

Saturday, February 14th

Wichita at Allen, 5-4 W (OT)

- Justin Bernhardt shined again, tallying a goal in the first minute of the contest and adding two more in the third for his first professional hat trick. The game was forced into overtime tied at four. Danick Gauthier put it past Riley Gill to collect Wichita's third win past regulation against the Americans this season.

Sunday, February 15th

Allen at Wichita, 6-5 L (SO)

- Allen scored the first two of the game and took a 2-0 lead late into the first. Wichita got one back from Eric Meland before the end of the first frame. The Thunder scored four goals in the second before Allen answered with two of their own in the third to force overtime for a second-straight night. The two teams went scoreless in the OT session and needed a shootout. Each team found the net through the first five rounds of the shootout. Spencer Asuchak scored in round seven while Todd Hosmer was denied to end it.

PACKING IT IN - The Thunder played Missouri on Friday night in front of 10,490 people for Go Red Night. The turnout was the third largest in franchise history. Wichita partnered with American Heart Association, Kwik Shop, and All Things BBQ to help raise awareness for women's health. On Sunday, 7,005 fans came out for Credit Union of America member appreciation night, bringing the weekend average to 8,747, and the season average to 5,090, good for eighth best in the ECHL. Go Red Night ranks as the second and third largest nights in franchise history with 13,168 fans coming out on February 11th, 2012.

BERNIN' IT DOWN - Thunder forward Justin Bernhardt scored seven points (5g, 2a) in three games this weekend, including two three-point outings. The Yorkton, SK, native recorded two goals and an assist on Friday, a hat trick on Saturday, and a helper on Sunday, helping the Thunder collect five of six possible points. His hat trick recorded is the second one this season for the Thunder and his first as a pro.

MULTI-POINT - Danick Gauthier had four points in two games last weekend, scoring the game-winner in OT on Saturday and adding another on Sunday afternoon. He leads the team with 18 goals and is second with 41 points. The Brossard, PQ native has 13 multi-point games this season.

POWER PLAY POINTS - Ian Lowe and Danick Gauthier are in the top four in power play goals. Lowe is currently tied for second with eight while Gauthier is in a log-jam for fourth place with seven. Mike Wilson is tied for 17th with 10 power play assists.

STREAKS - Mike Wilson has points in his last four games (1g, 5a). Eric Meland has five points in his last three games (2g, 3a). Kenton Miller has points in eight of the last nine (5g, 6a). RG Flath has points in his four (2g, 3a). Ian Lowe has three assists in both games last weekend against Allen. Kirill Tulupov has three assists in the last three games.

PAST REGULATION - Wichita and Allen appeared in their fourth game past regulation in the season series on Sunday. The Thunder won their three previous meetings against Allen that went past 60 minutes. The Thunder are 2-0 against Allen in games decided in overtime and 1-1 in games decided in a shootout. Wichita is 3-2 overall in games decided in the extra period and 2-5 in shootout situations. The Thunder won two-straight shootouts before losing on Sunday.

HOME-STAND - Wichita plays at Allen this Wednesday before returning home for a five-game home-stand. The team's longest home-stand, six games, will take place at the end of the year as the Thunder finish the regular season at INTRUST Bank Arena from Sunday March 29th to Saturday, April 11th.

IDES OF MARCH - The Thunder close out the month of February at home over the next two weeks, but will head back out on the road for another lengthy road trip. Wichita will be away from home for seven games, starting Friday March 6th at Brampton. After a pair of games at Allen on March 17th and 18th, Wichita will finally return home to host the Americans during a three-in-three on Friday, March 20th.

THREE-IN-THREE - The Thunder play the Americans tomorrow night to close out a three-game mini series against the two heated rivals. Wichita will play Allen in three-straight in the month of March, making that two times this season that the Thunder and the Americans will see each other three games in a row. Wichita is 4-5-0-1 in the season-series against Allen.
