ORLANDO - Feb. 17, 2015 - The Orlando Predators announced Tuesday that Steve Edwards will return for his second season as the team's Line Coach in 2015. A former All-American at the University of Central Florida, Edwards brings six seasons of NFL experience to the franchise.

"Being a former player who has excelled at the highest level, Coach Edwards brings invaluable experience to our staff. He understands the kind of dedication that is necessary to achieve success in pro football," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "We have very high expectations and Coach Edwards does an outstanding job of communicating that to our players. He has the ability to push players to be great and I'm looking forward to watching him develop the talent we have on this team."

"I'm excited to be returning to an outstanding organization in the Orlando Predators," Edwards stated. "I'm looking forward to getting back to work with such a great front office and coaching staff. We've assembled a great group of players and I can't wait to start working with them during training camp."

Edwards began his pro football career in 2002, as he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He went on to join the Chicago Bears, where he served as a four-year starter over five seasons with the franchise. Edwards' NFL career also included stints with the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens.

Edwards entered the Arena Football League in 2008 as a member of the Philadelphia Soul, where he was teammates with current Predators Head Coach Rob Keefe. He finished the year with the Arizona Ratters after being traded midseason. Edwards returned to the Rattlers during the 2011 season before joining the Chicago Rush in 2013, where he served as a starter on the offensive line under current Orlando Offensive Coordinator Siaha Burley.

The Orlando Predators 2015 season opener against the Philadelphia Soul is scheduled for 7:00pm on Sunday, March 29 at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando. Tickets are available for purchase by calling 844-455-PRED (7733).
