ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 28-27-1-1 record (18-12-1-0 at home, 10-15-0-1 on the road, 6-1 in overtime, 1-1 in shootouts) and in fourth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and seventh place in the new playoff wildcard standings...KOOTENAY, who plays seven of the next nine games away from home, will visit LETHBRIDGE February 17 before returning home to host EDMONTON February 20.

ANTI-BULLYING NIGHT: Join the KOOTENAY ICE and WESTERN FINANCIAL GROUP for ANTI-BULLYING NIGHT February 20 versus EDMONTON...Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game and join the ICE in taking a stand against bullying...Parents of students in SCHOOL DISTRICTS 5 and 6 can contact their school office for details on how to attend one of our biggest nights of the season!

PASTA & CHICKEN DINNER: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET Sunday, March 8 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available during home games at the FAN CLUB TABLE or by calling KELLY at 250-426-3638 or CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.

DID YOU KNOW: Forward SAM REINHART is two points short of 300 career points...Forwards JAEDON DESCHENEAU and TIM BOZON both recorded their 150th career assists February 11 versus MEDICINE HAT...DESCHENEAU passed DUSTIN SYLVESTER for fourth in ICE all-time scoring February 11 versus the TIGERS...DESCHENEAU, who now has 255 career points, is two games short of 250 career games played...Goaltender DECLAN HOBBS made his WHL debut February 13 against MOOSE JAW (15 minutes played, ten saves)...HOBBS then made his first WHL start February 15 versus SASKATOON (25 saves, 5 goals against)...BOZON recorded his second hat-trick of 2015 February 15 against the BLADES...BOZON has scored 11 goals in his last 11 games...Forward LEVI CABLE played in his 250th career game February 11 against MEDICINE HAT...Defenseman TANNER LISHCHYNSKY is two appearances shy of 100 career games played...Forward RYAN CHYNOWETH is one game short of 100 appearances in an ICE uniform...Assistant Coach JAY HENDERSON posted a 1-1-0-0 record as acting head coach February 11 and February 13...HENDERSON now holds a career coaching record of 5-5-1-0, having previously acted as head coach from December 13, 2013 - January 4, 2014...KOOTENAY scored five goals in a period for the second time this season February 11 versus the TIGERS (second period).

TRANSACTION / INJURY: KOOTENAY has returned goaltender DECLAN HOBBS (August 19, 1998) to the SASKATOON CONTACTS of the SASKATCHEWAN MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE...Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE lineup four to six months with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 57 games of the 2013-14 season the ICE were 31-22-2-2, after 58 games 32-22-2-2 and after 59 games 33-22-2-2.
