Affiliate Alex Green to Make USHL Debut with Lumberjacks in Bloomington

MUSKEGON, Michigan (February 16th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced the addition of affiliate Defenseman Alex Green to the active roster for Monday afternoon's Presidents Day road tilt against the expansion Bloomington Thunder at 4:00 pm, where the Chicago, Illinois native is slated to make his USHL debut.

Green, the Cornell University commit, was drafted by the Lumberjacks in the fifth round (66th overall) during the 2014 USHL Phase I Draft and is currently in his third season with Chicago Mission youth hockey organization. This season with the Mission's Midget Minor team, Green has totaled one goal and four assists through 25 games played.

During his previous two seasons from 2012-14 with the Chicago Mission's Bantam Major and Midget Minor teams, respectively, Green recorded three goals and ten assists in 43 games. Prior to joining the Mission, Green spent the 2011-12 season with the Chicago Young Americans Bantam Minor squad tallying five goals and three assists in 20 games.

The Lumberjacks prospect made his NCAA Division I commitment to skate collegiately for the Big Red out of the ECAC following his junior career back in late October.
