Sidekicks midfielder and assist leader Ricardinho got things going 9:17 into the match, pasting a shot from distance into the top corner of the net. That would be it for the first quarter, but things took off in the second, Brownsville's Alejandro Rios scoring 3:57 in. Dallas followed up with three straight goals, Hernandez taking advantage of a rebound and putting it away. At 11:12 forward Megson chipped the ball over Barracuda goaltender Fidel Garcia for his in eighth goal in six games with the Sidekicks. Hernandez closed out scoring in the first half just 35 seconds later, scoring his second of the match to put the Sidekicks up 4-1 at halftime.

The Sidekicks added two powerplay goals in the third quarter, Ricardinho's free kick to a streaking Moojen earning Moojen his seventh powerplay goal of the season. The second goal with a one-man advantage came from Megson at 14:22, once again assisted by Ricardinho. Another pair of goals would follow, Dominic Schell a goal on give-and-go with Alex Molano and defenseman Fabinho scoring just 19 seconds later to put the Sidekicks up 8-1 at the end of the third.

The beginning of the fourth quarter was a flurry of goals - four scored in just 1:37. Moojen started things off, followed by Brownsville forward Luis Puga. Moojen then struck again to complete his seventh hat trick of the season, and 26 seconds later Carlos Videla stuck to put the Sidekicks up 11-2. The Barracudas made a final surge in the last few minutes, forward Luis Lopez scoring at 14:57, but the Sidekicks came away with the victory 11-3.
