Oilers Slip Past Mallards 2-1

MOLINE, Ill. (February 13, 2015) - Kevin Carr made 39 saves and Drew Fisher and Brady Ramsay both scored as the Tulsa Oilers (22-22-4) slipped past t he host Quad City Mallards (23-18-6) 2-1 Fri day night.

Fisher opened the scoring by tipping in a 5-on-3 power play goal at 3:54 of the first period.

Ramsay scored Tulsa's second from the side of the net at 10:57 of the second period.

Ramsay's goal loomed even larger after, with the Mallards on the power play, Mike Monfredo pounced on a rebound to cut the gap to 2-1 with just over a second left in the second period .

After keeping the Mallards to just one second period goal by making 17 saves in the middle frame, Carr stopped all 11 Quad City shots- including a flurry of last minute bids after the Mallards pulled goaltender Parker MIlner (34 saves) for an extra attacker- in the third to preserve the Oiler victory.

The Mallards and Oilers meet again tomorrow night in Tulsa. The Mallards next play at home Wednesday night, February 25 at 7:05 p.m. against the Allen Americans. Fans can purchase four tickets to each Mallards Wednesday home game this season for just $20. In addition, after each Wednesday home contest, fans can join the Mallards at T.G.I. Friday's on River Drive in Moline- adjacent to the iWireless Center- for a postgame party.

The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
