Ads Fall to Chicago in OT

Rosemont, IL--Forward Pat Cannone scored the overtime winner to lead there Chicago Wolves to a 3-2 overtime win over the Milwaukee Admirals Wednesday night.

During 3-on-3 play in the overtime session, Cannone was able to skate to the bottom of the left circle and snap a shot past Admirals goalie Marek Mazanec at 5:46.

The Admirals did earn a point with the overtime loss and moved into second place overall in the Western Conference, three points behind Oklahoma City.

The Wolves got on the board first with a Terry Broadhurst power play goal at 11:18 of the first period. Standing in the slot, Broadhurst deflected a pass from Magnus Paajarvi into the net for his sixth goal of the season.

The Admirals tied the score at 13:02 of the first period. Zach Budish passed the puck from the left corner into the slot. The pass deflected off a skate to the right point where Ian White then fired a low wrist shot to the goal. Triston Grant deflected the puck into the net for his eighth goal of the season.

Milwaukee claimed the lead at 14:57 of the first period. Once again, White was able to get his stick on the puck after Viktor Arvidsson tipped it to him. White's shot from the right point was deflected by Rich Clune but stopped by Wolves goalie Jordan Binnington. Colton Sissons flipped the rebound into the net for his 16th goal of the season.

Chicago tied the game with 2:20 left in the second period when Jeremy Welsh scored a short handed goal. It was the fourth short handed goal Milwaukee has allowed this season and third allowed in the last five games.

Mazanec finished the game with 27 saves in Milwaukee's net.

Milwaukee's returns to the BMO Harris Bradley Center to host Rockford Friday night at 7pm.
