Owen Sound Attack News Release
After taking four of a possible six points in a weekend road trip, the Owen Sound Attack get right back to work when they host the Barrie Colts on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
The Attack, who sit in 5th place in the Midwest Division, enter Wednesday's contest with a record of 23-17-2-7. Barrie is in 1st place in the Central Division and sit in 2nd in the Eastern Conference overall thanks to a record of 32-17-1-1.
Wednesday's game is the 3rd of six match ups between the Attack and the Colts on the year, with both teams having split the first two games.
Owen Sound was victorious by a score of 6-1 back on Oct. 22 while the Colts nabbed a 2-1 win on Dec. 29.
The Attack will be looking to ride the hot play of leading scorer Kyle Platzer into Wednesday's game. Platzer is currently on a seven game point streak, a stretch that has seen him tally four goals and eight assists dating batch to Jan. 25. The streak is Platzer's 2nd longest of the year, behind a 10 game stretch from Oct. 19 to Nov. 15 that saw him record 14 points.
Leading Barrie into battle is forward Kevin Labanc, whose 83 points currently have him 4th in league scoring.
Labanc has 23 goals and 60 assists while fellow Colt and former Attack forward Joseph Blandisi has 82 points on the year.
Wednesday's game is a 7:00 pm puck drop and tickets can be purchased at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.

KEYS TO VICTORY
The Barrie Colts are a high flying team with a great amount of firepower that Owen Sound has been able to negate in their first two meetings this year. As always, the Attack will look to play a structured two way game while taking advantage of a power play that has been clicking as of late. Conversely, the Attack will look to limit Barrie's time on the man advantage and take away any chances that the Colts' snipers may have.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Joseph Blandisi, C, Barrie Colts
36G, 46A, 51GP
A former Owen Sound pivot, Joseph Blandisi is currently tied for the league lead in goals. While Blandisi is just one of a trio of 30 goal scorers for Barrie, he may be the most dynamic. While the Attack will certainly be aware of where he is at all times, Blandisi is just one important cog to the Colts engine.
Erik Bradford, C, Owen Sound Attack
21G, 26A, 50GP
Arguably Owen Sound's most dominant player in their recent road trip, Erik Bradford is clearly feeling comfortable in his new home. With nine goals and three assists in 13 games since being acquired, Bradford is becoming a big part of the team's offence. He has given a new dimension to the first power play unit for the Attack and will be looked upon to help lead Owen Sound in what becomes an increasingly tougher schedule.
