New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
MANCHESTER, N.H. - With an eye on exciting, new events paired with the best of years past, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats unveiled an action-packed promotional schedule for the 2015 season. Atlas Fireworks shows, giveaways, and the Future Red Sox provide the bedrock for the new season while Thursday night DJs from Rock 101, live music on Fridays, and an official Star Wars night are among the many new items layered on top to create a memorable 2015.
"Each fall we look back at the summer, take the best parts of that season, and then work on adding new ideas for the following year," said Jenna Raizes, senior vice president and assistant general manager. "This off-season, we've really worked hard to create multiple ways for fans to have a great time at each game, and I think fans who come to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium are going to be blown away by what we have in store in 2015."
The new season begins April 9, and it won't take long for fans to experience the best of the old and new in the first homestand. Opening Day will feature the first Rock 101 Thursday night DJ in the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill, followed on Friday by the first live music performance on the concourse. The first series also features the opener of a record 33 Atlas Fireworks shows, and the return of All-You-Can-Eat Day on April 11. On that day, all fans in attendance can feast on free hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos throughout the game.
Theme nights are a big focus in 2015 with the June 20th Star Wars Night leading the way. The team will wear custom Darth Vader-inspired jerseys against the Binghamton Mets, and a variety of Star Wars characters from the 501st New England Garrison are scheduled to be at the game. Later, on July 17, the team will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future with appearances by the 'Part I Tribute DeLorean Time Machine' and Marty McFly's 'Hero Truck.'
Several children's characters from New Hampshire Public Television will make their way to the ballpark in 2015. The line-up includes Daniel Tiger, Curious George, Cat in the Hat, and the Super Readers, among others.
A pair of new bobbleheads highlight the slate of 18 giveaways. Fans will receive an Old Man of the Mountain bobblehead on July 7. On August 23, the team will be joined by the family of Don Zimmer to celebrate his baseball legacy, complete with a bobble collectible. Additional giveaways include an ice cream bowl on National Ice Cream Day (July 19), a throwback hat commemorating the team's first cap, and a #HashTag t-shirt featuring fans' social media handles and Fisher Cats memories.
Another celebration will occur mid-season when the team welcome's its four-millionth fan, less than three years after hosting the three-millionth in August 2012.
Fans will have to wait until school is out to see the Future Red Sox, the Portland Sea Dogs. The first Manchester meeting between the teams begins June 23. The Sea Dogs return July 16-19 and to close out the regular season from August 31-Sept. 3.
The only way to purchase tickets to any of the above games is through Season Tickets, Mini-Ticket Plans, and group outings. Each package provides a variety of benefits, including cash to spend at the ballpark, free gifts, and unique experiences. These packages are available at the team's ticket office at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, by calling (603) 641-2005, or by visiting www.nhfishercats.com. Individual game tickets will go on sale later this month. A detailed offering of the 2015 promo schedule is also available on the team's website.
