Eagles Take First Place in Pacific Division With 4-2 Win Over Aces ANCHORAGE, Alaska. -The Colorado Eagles (29-14-0-1) picked up their second-ever win at Sullivan Arena against the Alaska Aces (18-19-3-1), 4-2, in the final game of a three-game series. This game rounded out a six-game road trip where the Eagles picked up nine of a possible 12 points and put the Eagles in first place in the Pacific Division.

Aces forward Bryan Cameron picked up a rebound in front of Eagles netminder Daniel Spence to give Alaska the early 1-0 edge just 5:19 into the first frame. Almost three minutes later Eagles defenseman Brett Kulak capitalized on the Eagles first power play of the night from the circle to the left of Aces goalie Johan Gustafsson to tie the game 1-1. 10:28 into the first Eagles forward Trent Daavettila sent a beautiful cross-slot feed to defenseman Collin Bowman who shot from the hashes to give Colorado their first lead of the game, 2-1.

Just 2:48 into the second period, Eagles forward Jordan Kwas extended the Eagles lead, 3-1, as he stuffed home a puck from the top of Gustafsson's crease. At the 6:34 mark of the second, Aces forward Ryan Walters found the back of the net off of a wrister shot from the high slot to make it a one-goal game, 3-2.

Only 1:28 into the third stanza, Eagles forward Vitalijs Pavlovs backhanded a loose puck in the crease over Gustafsson to give the Eagles the 4-2 advantage. Spence was able to hold off 22 of the Aces 24 shots to hold on for the 4-2 victory on Alaska's home ice.
