Dallas Sidekicks Take on Saltillo Rancho Seco this Saturday at Allen Event

Allen, Texas (Jan. 30, 2015) - This Saturday the Dallas Sidekicks (11-5) take on Saltillo Rancho (1-11) in their third match-up of the season. The Sidekicks' record puts the team second in the Southern Division.

With a playoff spot clinched, the remainder of the regular season is crucial in determining positioning to make a deep run in the post-season.

This is the second and final meeting between Dallas and Saltillo this season. The Sidekicks made the 650 mile journey south to Saltillo, Mexico earlier this month, where Rancho Seco came out with a 7-6 victory on January 9. This was Saltillo's lone win so far this season, the team finding themselves out of the playoffs and holding the fifth spot in the Southern Division.

Sidekicks forward Freddy Moojen, who was named to the MASL's Team of the Week on Wednesday, will be looking to push himself further up in the league scoring race, the Brazilian native's 40 points (30 goals, 10 assists) the 8th most in the league and leading the Sidekicks.

Other recent standouts on the Sidekicks roster include Cameron Brown and Alex Megson.

Brown notched his third hat trick of the season last weekend, the Garland native a consistent offensive producer for the Sidekicks this season with 16 goals and 9 assists. Megson signed with the Sidekicks earlier this month, and has amassed eight points in three games. The forward was a contributing factor in six of Dallas' seven goals in last weekend win on the road in Brownsville.

It is $2 hot dog and soda night at Allen Event Center, as well as Faith & Family Night hosted by East Texas Baptist University.
