Rochester Lancers News Release

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers (6-8) will hit the road this weekend when they travel to face the Harrisburg Heat (0-12) on Saturday, January 31 in a 7:05 scheduled start time. Following the match at Harrisburg the Lancers will be off until Valentine's Day weekend when they will have back-to-back matches at Baltimore on February 13th and at home against Harrisburg on the 14th.

The match this Saturday marks the second time Rochester and Harrisburg have faced each other in MASL play. The first match came on December 6th as Rochester came away with an 11-4 win on the road. Rochester enters the match coming off an emotional and hard fought home win over Syracuse last weekend, that saw them come from behind to win at home. The Lancers are currently in third place in the Eastern Division and trail second place Syracuse by a game and a half. Meanwhile in the push for the postseason, the Lancers have a three game advantage over Detroit for the third and final playoff spot.

Harrisburg is currently winless in twelve tries this season and will enter the match against Rochester on the back end of a back-to-back weekend. The Heat host the St. Louis Ambush on Friday night.

After their match at Harrisburg, the Lancers will have a bye week next week before returning home again on February 14th for a Valentine's Day rematch of this weekend's game against the Harrisburg Heat. The 1:00 p.m. start will be the second game in two days for Rochester who will travel to face Baltimore the night before the afternoon matinee. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on the 14th will receive a free Lancer Lips lip balm courtesy of Delta Sonic.
