Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are pleased to announce the additions of two players to the 2015 roster. Outfielder Beau Jordan (LSU) and his twin brother Bryce Jordan (LSU) have signed contracts to play for the Rafters during the 2015 season. The Jordan brothers have been enjoying the national spotlight since they were 12 years old and one game away from the Little League World Series Championship. The twin brothers continued their success in high school when in their senior season they not only claimed the Louisiana 5A State Championship, but the National Championship as well. They are both part of the number one recruiting class in the nation for the LSU Tigers this year.

"We look forward to Beau and Bryce bringing their rich winning tradition to Wisconsin Rapids this summer," said Rafters general manager John Fanta. "Beau is an advanced hitter and baserunner who was one of 10 players on the MaxPreps National Baseball Player of the Year Watch last year along with 2014 MLB first round draft picks Brady Aiken and Jacob Gatewood. Bryce spent his senior season as the starting catcher for Barbe but will bring versatility, with the ability to play the corner infield spots, and tremendous on-base skills to our roster."

OF- Beau Jordan 5'9" 205 lbs (R/R) Freshman, LSU

Beau Jordan is one of the most decorated players the Rafters organization has ever signed. The freshman outfielder was named an All-American by both Baseball America and Louisville Slugger and is a two time Louisiana 5A state champion (2012 and 2014), two time All-State selection (2013-14), and former LLWS participant. Last season as Jordan was a part of the Barbe High School 2014 state championship roster, he batted .398 with 57 Hits, 58 Runs, 12 doubles, 12 home runs, 43 RBIs, and 37 stolen bases from the leadoff spot. Beau is a native of Lake Charles, LA.

C/IF- Bryce Jordan 5'9" 203 lbs (R/R) Freshman, LSU

Bryce Jordan was also a member of two class 5A State Championship teams, and took home the honor of being named Tournament MVP during his sophomore season in 2012. Additionally, like his brother he was twice named to the class 5A All-State team. Bryce's name can be found in the record books by setting the national high school career and single season marks for times being hit by pitch with 35. Bryce has seen playing time at the corner infield positions as well as behind the plate in his last few seasons, making him one of the most versatile players on the Wisconsin Rapids roster. In his senior campaign Bryce batted .442 with a .640 on-base percentage, 50 Hits, 37 Runs, 10 Doubles, 4 Home Runs, 29 RBI, 35 hit-by-pitch and 21 stolen bases. Bryce is a native of Lake Charles, LA.

The Rafters have had one former LSU player as a member of their roster, when outfielder Alex Edward was a member of the 2011 team.
