HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has re-signed international receiver Luke Tasker to a new contract that will keep him in Hamilton through the 2017 season.

Tasker, a 5-11, 191-pound, native of East Aurora, New York, led the Ticats in receiving and ranked fifth in the CFL with 72 receptions for 937 yards and five touchdowns in 17 regular season games in 2014.

Tasker capped off a successful campaign in 2014 earning his first career East Division All-Star nod. He also recorded a career-high nine receptions for 138 yards and one touchdown vs. Toronto on October 25.

"We're excited to have Luke back in Hamilton." said Ticats General Manager and Head Coach Kent Austin. "Since signing here in 2013, he has been a productive receiver for our club and developed into one of the league's most reliable targets."

Prior to signing with the Tiger-Cats on September 17, 2013, Tasker attended training camp with the NFL's San Diego Chargers after playing four seasons at Cornell University, where he hauled in 172 passes for 2,487 yards and 13 touchdowns.
