Camden Riversharks News Release

CAMDEN, N.J.: The Camden Riversharks have signed right-handed pitchers Zach Clark and Michael Click and infielder Mike Costanzo to contracts for the 2015 season, the team announced today. Clark and Click are returning members of the 2014 squad while Costanzo previously played with the team in 2010. The three players are the first to join the 2015 roster.

Clark, 31, a Delaware native, will begin his second season with the Riversharks after starting seven games for the team in 2014, posting a 2-3 record and a 3.00 ERA. Prior to joining the Riversharks last season, Clark was a member of the Baltimore Orioles organization for eight seasons. Signed as an amateur free agent in 2006, he made his Major League debut in May 2013 against the Seattle Mariners, pitching one and two-thirds innings in relief and striking out a batter. He begins the 2015 season with a career 4.17 ERA and 550 strikeouts.

Click, 26, is also a local product, hailing from Media, PA. He played for Temple University prior to joining the Normal CornBelters of the Frontier League in 2011. Click joined the Riversharks in July of the 2014 season, going a perfect 4-0 with a 3.53 ERA while striking out 37 in relief. He brings four years of Independent League experience to the team, compiling a 3.12 ERA and 218 strikeouts in stints with four different teams.

"I am excited to have Click and Clark returning to the team for next season," states newly named manager Chris Widger. "I had the opportunity to work with them closely last year, and I know they will be great contributors to the team this year, as well as bring the right attitude on the field. We're very excited to add Costanzo, as well, and believe he'll be a great addition to the lineup."

Costanzo, 31, is also no stranger to the area. A native of Springfield, PA and a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA, Costanzo played with the Riversharks in 2010 and was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2nd round of the 2005 MLB draft out of Coastal Carolina University. Costanzo appeared in 17 games with the Cincinnati Reds during the 2012 season, primarily as a pinch hitter, and recorded a hit and two RBIs during that time. He spent the 2014 season with the Louisville Bats, the AAA affiliate of the Reds, where he split his time between first base and third base. A 10-year veteran, Costanzo brings 124 career home runs and 562 RBIs to the team.

The Riversharks home opener is Friday, May 1st, at 7:05pm. Ticket information is available on www.riversharks.com.
